Buying a House

Your INspection

This page should have most of the information you need about what will be going on during your inspection and what you should expect from us!

A home is the biggest purchase most people will ever make, and a home inspection is always recommended before buying a home. It’s important to realize the condition of your investment.

While some little quirks may be nothing to worry about, there may be more serious issues that only a professional home inspector can assess.
A large part of surviving the home inspection is understanding what is and what isn't included. Here’s a helpful infographic that shows you what’s covered in a home inspection.

FAQs

Q: What Guidelines or standards do you go by when performing an inspection?

A: We strictly follow the InterNACHI standards of practice to find any defects or issues with the property as it currently sits. You can read the full set of standard by clicking the button below!

Q: What keeps you honest and reliable during a home inspection?

A: By following the Code of Ethics, we are able to be as reliable as possible while giving you the best service we can provide. View the Code of Ethics by clicking below!

Q: I work during the week and won't be able to take off and be at my inspection. Will this be okay?

A: We would recommend you going to your inspection because it allows us to show you in person anything that might be a concern and you'll be able to ask any questions you have about the property. If you are unable to be there during the week, we have a few options:

  • We offer weekend appointments, but there is only one slot open per day and they frequently fill up fast, so try to book in as advance as possible!

  • If a weekend appointment is unavailable, or the inspection needs to be done in a short time frame, you can always book during the week and request a phone call or video call to discuss any findings!

Q: When I get my report, what should I be looking for?

A: Our inspection reports are written through Spectora, because of the ease of navigation for customers. Sidebar navigation and jump links let clients find the information they need quickly and easily. Major issue or defects will be in red, while other recommendations will be in orange and blue! To view a sample inspection, click below!
